Are you dreaming of a beautiful, straight smile you can show confidently? Now you don’t need to wear metal brackets and wires for years to attain it. Invisalign invisible aligners will gently and efficiently move your teeth into proper alignment in about half the time of traditional braces. Many patients feel that the best part is that no one can tell they’re wearing them. Dr. Price is a premier provider of Invisalign, and she can work with you to find out if it is the right solution for you.
The Invisalign Process
When you come in for your first appointment, we will complete a comprehensive exam with digital x-rays to help Dr. Price understand your situation and plan for the proper alignment of your teeth. She will listen to you and take your ideas and aspirations to heart. Then she will provide you with the information you need to make a decision about the best treatment plan.
We will then make an impression of your teeth, and Dr. Price will send it to the Invisalign lab along with her instructions. Skilled technicians will scan your impressions into a computer that assists in mapping the most precise series of changes to bring about the ideal alignment. The computer then fabricates 12 to 46 transparent aligners for you.
Beginning Treatment with Your Aligners
You will meet with Dr. Price again, and she will provide you with the aligners and make sure you have complete instructions on how to wear them. You will then snap in your first set of aligners. They will not feel like they fit very well, but over the next few days, your teeth will move into a new configuration, and the aligners will begin to feel loose.
You will continue to eat normally and perform your regular dental hygiene, taking the aligners out to do so. For about two weeks, you’ll continue to wear the aligners as they provide the structure to help your teeth become stabilized in this new position. Then you’ll snap in a new set. You will visit Dr. Price every four to six weeks as you continue to change aligners so she can make sure everything is progressing without problems.
