Laycie, Clinical Manager
A native of Lafayette, Laycie has been in the field for 20 years and has spent the last four of those with Dr. Price. She received her schooling at Acadiana High School, and loves Lafayette for both the wonders of the food and the strength and companionship of family. Laycie is married with one son, one daughter, and a cat named Meaux Meaux, she is currently in the midst of remodeling her house, and she loves to travel. When asked what motivates her to come to work every day, she says the staff and patients along with her desire to help people smile more. In addition, she says she loves helping people feel better about coming to the dentist and, ultimately, helping feel better about themselves.
Lesley, Front Office Manager
Lesley received her education at Carencro High School, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and Coastal Caroling Community College. She has worked in her field for 15 years, and has been with Dr. Price for eleven of those years. When asked what motivates her to come to work every day, she says, “My work family and our wonderful patients.” She particularly enjoys being able to help patients who are very anxious about getting dental work done: seeing their faces transform from fear to happy smiles is very gratifying. Lesley has been married to a wonderful husband for 18 years, and they have a beautiful daughter and three poodles, a tiny toy, a toy and a standard. When she is not working, Lesley enjoys planning family vacations, making memories, and biking, boating, fishing, and reading.
Hillary, Patient Concierge
Hillary received her training at Vermillion Catholic High School and the Southwest Dental Academy before coming to work for Dr. Price. She had always been very conscious about oral hygiene, and chose to study at the Dental Academy, where she fell in love with the dental field. She says her co-workers motivate her to continue doing better, and she loves the positive atmosphere and the fact that the patients are always leaving feeling better and happier than when they came in. Hillary is recently engaged, and she and her fiancé are getting a puppy soon. When she is not working, she enjoys watching movies, going to the gym, and helping he friends and family with their interior design challenges.
Beth, Insurance Coordinator
Originally from New Orleans, Beth received her education at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and has been with Dr. Price for two years. She came to the field of dentistry because she loves working in an office where she can make sure everyone is happy and satisfied. She especially appreciates the opportunity to work with patients and to welcome them to the extended family she and the rest of the staff create together. Beth is married, and her husband Tad is a chef who loves creating new dishes. Together they have two dogs and a cat, and they like the area because it is a good community in which to raise a family with plenty of things to do for fun. In her leisure time, Beth likes to bake, read, travel, walk her dogs, and plan parties for others.
Latasha, Financial Coordinator
Latasha received her education at New Iberia Senior High School and had been working for 14 years when she had the opportunity to join Dr. Price’s office. She said, “It was a new adventure that was offered to me, and I am thankful for it to this day. I enjoy working with people, and I love the feeling of giving back.” She finds it especially rewarding when “you find someone who hasn’t smiled in years, and you can give them their smile back.” Latasha is recently married to a wonderful man, and she has two boys and one stepson. Her oldest will be playing college football with Elmhurst, Illinois in the fall of 2017. They also have two dogs and a turtle named Henry. When she is not working, you can find her cooking, hunting, reading, or being involved with her everything her kids do and seeing them smile.
Suzanne, Marketing Director
Suzanne grew up in Acadiana and received her schooling at South Louisiana Community College, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and at Northwestern State University. She and her husband are in the process of adopting two beautiful and loving children to bring into their home. She describes herself and her family as “old fashioned,” eating meals together and playing board games and cards. She says that working for Dr. Price “was an unexpected opportunity that I was more than ecstatic about …. I have a passion for people, and to be able to work at a place that serves people with top-notch customer care warms my heart.” What motivates her to come to work every day is bringing more people to Dr. Price’s office to experience the family connection. When asked about her leisure activities, Suzanne says she loves coaching her kids’ basketball team and wants to make a difference in people’s lives as a way of giving back to the people who have made a difference in her own.
Shai, Registered Dental Hygienist
Shai earned her Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Prior to becoming a Dental Hygienist, she was a Dental Assistant for seven years, and she has been with Dr. Price since 2013. She decided to go into dentistry because of the immediate change patients experience. She had five years of orthodontic work as a child, and everyone was so nice and happy. The change she saw in herself motivated her to be part of the fun. She enjoys watching fearful patients change their perspectives, changing people’s lives, and making smiles big again. Shai’s husband Nate is a commercial driver, PMT, and Fire Fighter, and together they have two dogs, two cats, and a bird and a fish. She says, “I live in a zoo!” When not working, Shai enjoys reading, watching movies and Crossfit.
Logan, Dental Assistant
Originally from Cecilia, Louisiana, Logan studied Dental Assisting at the Unitech Training Academy and then went on to receive training in Expanded Duty Dental Assisting from LSU Health. She is the oldest of seven siblings and has a daughter named Emmy with her fiancé Ryan. When she’s not working, she loves reading and spending time with her family and daughter. She says likes the Lafayette area because everyone is genuinely kind. When asked what drew her to dentistry, she says, “I feel first impressions are important, and the first thing I notice is someone’s smile. I take pride in knowing I can help people get the smile they want.” She enjoys getting to know and building relationships with her patients, and she says her daughter motivates her every day, “I think of her and it makes me push myself.”
Micah, Dental Assistant
Micah lives with her mom Betsy, her dad Ryan, her three little brothers Payton, Ezra, and Zayne, and a cat named Lana. She also has an older sister named Taylor whose involvement in the dental field inspired Micah to pursue her education at the Southwest Dental Academy here in Lafayette. She finds caring for patients particularly satisfying, saying, “I love making sure they are comfortable and happy. And the relationships she has with both patients and co-workers motivate her to come to work each day. When she is not working, Micah likes to go shopping and hang out with friends. And she loves singing at her church and creating things through art.
Taylor, Dental Assistant
A graduate of the Acadiana Area Career College for Dental Assisting, Taylor has been working for six years, and five of those have been with Dr. Price. She says Dr. Price was her dentist and inspired her to go into dentistry, “It was always my dream to work at her office.” Taylor loves making patients feel comfortable and at ease, and she is motivated to come to work each day by “our patients and my amazing boss and co-workers.” Taylor also loves singing, and sings every Sunday at local churches. And she will marry her amazing fiancé this year.
Monica, Dental Assistant
A graduate of the Southwest Dental Academy, Monica has been with Dr. Price since 2016. She decided to go into dentistry because it has been an interest of hers since she was a child. She loves helping patients, and loving her job and her co-workers motivates her to come to work each day. Her mom is an assistant director at KidCity Daycare and her dad works in waste management and is also a DJ. Aside from her career, Monica loves going to the gym and singing.
